Equipment Checklist
CanSkate & PreCanSkate
Skate Lasalle does not provide equipment, nor are rentals available. SKATERS WITHOUT PROPER EQUIPMENT WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON THE ICE
Skates
Hockey skates or figure skates. They should have laces, leather skates with good ankle support are recommended. Plastic adjustable or “bob skates” are NOT recommended. GET THE SKATES SHARPENED, Ensure that skates fit properly. Skates that are too small will result in cold feet, balance is compromised if the skates is too large.
Helmet -CSA Approved
Hockey helmet, face cages are not required, but are recommended. Ensure that the helmet fits your skater’s head properly, BIKE HELMETS, SKATEBOARD HELMETS, SKI HELMETS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
Clothing
Remember! Your skater will be exercising – ensure that their clothing allows them to move around freely. Warm coat, Waterproof gloves, or mittens. Waterproof splash pants or snow pants.
